Meeting Community Needs in Colorado
Senior Corps
More than 9,170 seniors in Colorado contribute their time and talents in one of three Senior Corps programs.
Foster Grandparents serve one-on-one as tutors and mentors to more than 8,000 young people who have special needs.
Senior Companions help more than 810 homebound seniors and other adults maintain independence in their own homes.
RSVP Volunteers conduct safety patrols for local police departments, participate in environmental projects, tutor and mentor youth, respond to natural disasters, and provide other services through more than 1,200 groups across Colorado.
These are the 20 Senior Corps Programs in the state of Colorado:
- Foster Grandparent Programs: 4 programs and 407 volunteer participants
- RSVP Programs: 14 programs and 8,599 volunteer participants
- Senior Companion Programs: 2 programs and 163 volunteer participants
All Senior Corps Programs are sponsored by the Corporation for National and Community Service.
